7/23/09- Ennie Award Nomination -Hellas: Worlds of Sun and Stone has been nominated for two Ennie Awards. One for "Best Interior Art" (to which I contributed) and one for "Best Production Values". Voting for the winners begins on July 24th and lasts for 6 days. Please stop on by and place your vote. There's more categories and some great looking books are included. So please stop on by the Ennie Awards web page and place your vote. I know that the Hellas team and myself will greatly appreciate it.

7/22/09- Concepts Page -It's been a while since my last news update but I wanted to mention that the website now has a Concept Art section. This new part has tons of new art that I have been doing based on creature ideas and some proffesional concept work. Keep checking back for more updates to that page.

9/01/08- Hellas: Worlds of Sun and Stone -I wanted to announce that Hellas: Worlds of Sun and Stone made it's preview at Gencon. The book practically sold out on the first day! I'm real glad that the product has been well received and would encourage any of you to pick up a copy. You can pre order the book at the Hellas RPG website and when you do you will receive the complete game PDF for free. The site also has a preview that you can download and a set of quick start rules for you to check out. Look below for an image preview of the book:



8/19/08- I'm now a father of two - I'm happy to announce that the newest addition to my family, Elijah Luke, was born on Tuesday, August the 19th. Elijah came into the world weighing 7 pounds .7 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. My wife and I are very happy to have him at home and we can't wait to show him off to everyone. So now that I'm a Father to two little boys the question is how am I going to get any work done now??? LOl!

6/17/08- Upcomming book - Hellas: Worlds of Sun and Stone. Hellas is a new RPG book from Kephera Publishing that is soon to be completed. Jerry Grayson has been keeping me bussy these last couple of months creating illustrations for this project. The book is not quite ready but I'm happy to announce that the website with previews, news, forums and designers blog is now online. I would like to encourage everyone to check it out and join the forums and tell others about this new products. Hellas combines Greek mythology and Sci-fi (which makes for some real fun illustrations and gaming situations) and will be a hardcover, 300 full colors pages of gaming fun.

04/17/08- Art Update- I received permission to post some of the art for a great book (coming out soon) called "Spectross". I had the privilege to work with the author Ben Larrenmore, a very creative man, to develop the look of the characters. Below you can see some of the concepts for the main character "Navarr".



01/29/08- Art Update- Added some new art to the pencil works section. Just been enjoying doing some pencil drawings over the past few weeks.



01/28/08- Another Baby...Seems that I am going to be a Father yet again. This will be our second child and we are very excited! Found out on Christmas Day, what a great present to receive! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.

11/26/07- New Art- Was recently given the go ahead to post the cover art for an upcoming RPG called Eldritch Rangers from Highmoon Media Productions. I'm very excited over this product, stay tunned for more details.


11/18/07-Site update-Version 3.2. Ancient Earth Studios is now using lightbox to show it's images. For a while I wasn't certain if I wanted to go in that direction but I just could not deny the professionalism that it brings to a site. If you're wondering what I mean just click on an image and see what happens. I think the change looks great, check it out and see.
The front page has had a small modification as well. In the past new art was previewed on the front page by text links. Now they are avatars.

7/24/07- I have uploaded several new images during the month on July. All of them were done in my spare time (whatever that is) between other projects and taking care of my baby boy. Not that I'm complaining about my son, he is such a joy to wife and myself, but he can sometimes be a handful ;). But to get back on track, one of the things that I've enjoyed doing is to every so often re-design a "Masters of the Universe" character. The toy line and cartoons were a childhood favorite of mine that I wish someone would make into a movie. Anywho...go check out some of the re-designs and enjoy.

5/8/07- Ancient Earth Studios is now in it's third version. I have a whole new layout, one that hopefully reflects my artistic and design improvements.
I felt it was necessary to eliminate some previous sections that simply created clutter to the site. Perhaps now it will be less confusing to navigate.
I've been wanting to do this for sometime but life has kept me busy.This last October I became a father to a wonderful baby boy, who is growing up fast. But now that things have started to settle again I'm looking forward to getting back to work.
